Understanding business registration requirements
Registration with the Corporate Regulatory Authority (CRA) is required for any individual or entity intending to carry out formal business activities in Bhutan. The application for registration/incorporation by any individual or entities shall be routed through certified filing agents or certified company secretaries listed here. Existing businesses that are intending to convert into companies like proprietorships and partnerships and new companies with Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), shall also register with CRA. Overall, any person or organization seeking legal recognition to conduct business, enter into contracts, or undertake commercial activities are encouraged to register with the CRA.
